coal 9mm

Nov 05, 2016 · With a 9mm there is a max of 1.169 listed and load data is typically down around 1.1 depending on the powder you are using. i have read to use a length that functions reliably in your firearm or firearms. With the longest that will function being the best choice. I measured factory ammo and it seemed to be in the 1.15 range

May 28, 2013 · When I first started loading 9mm (115g RN) with Unique powder for my Glock 19 and 26 I started with the suggested 4.7 grains. No good, not enough power to even cycle the slide on the 26. I ended up slowly working up to 5.6 g of Unique with a COAL of 1.160 to get a good plinking round that has solid ejection and decent accuracy

Aug 16, 2019 · The 124gr hollow point hit the lands of the G43 at 1.134” COAL. I loaded and shot 200 of those loaded at 1.07 COAL under 4.0 of tightgroup. They are reasonably accurate in my gun, but nothing spectacular. I also played with the Berry’s 124gr flat point target hollow point ( my new favorite). I hit the lands at a length of 1.15”

Dec 24, 2008 · I hate to be the bearer of bad news but.... you really need to buy a reloading manual that lists your exact bullets. 9mms are very high pressure rounds in the 35,000 psi range. Seating a bullet just.030" deeper than spec will increase the pressure almost double (60k psi). That's about the …

Jan 23, 2018 · Hence your not loading for Major power factor since there is no way that the barrel is long leade throated for 9mm major from the start (so you can really long COAL the bullet to gain more volume in the cases under bullet set, while taking up the room in a long action mag without the need of a 9mm spacer), so pressure is not a issue within the 9mm minor power limits, even with the COAL shorter than …
